Our Mission
The Beautification and Urban Design (B.U.D.) Commission works to enhance the natural beauty of the Town of Rocky Mount by establishing sponsored gardens in the town’s entrance corridors.
The commission seeks sponsors for the gardens and oversees their design, construction and professional maintenance under the provisions of the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Comprehensive Roadside Management Plan.
B.U.D. members also work to educate the community about the program and encourage citizens and businesses to learn more about our mission.
