Our Activities
The B.U.D. Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Town Municipal Building at 345 Donald Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia.
We have four standing committees that perform the planning and administrative duties to meet our mission:
The Sponsorship Committee meets with potential sponsors to explain the program and introduce available gardens.
The Design Committee is our liaison with Harvey Design Land Architects, Inc. (HDLA), the firm that has a contract to design all the gardens.
The Public Relations Committee is charged with promoting the B.U.D. program through the website, brochures and press releases.
The Maintenance Committee secures bids for the professional maintenance of the gardens and ensures the gardens are looking their best year round.
We welcome local citizens who have an interest in the beautification of the town to serve on one of the four established committees. To volunteer, please call the number listed below.
